Re: Roll Call...prime ministerial decree...if you please |
Hi. Greetings from a snowbound Durham, UK. Easy to slip. Not at all looking forward to driving 300 miles this weekend, but it's to throw a party celebrating my mother's 90th birthday. Bit sad about the world cup (pick any year). The Ashes resumes in a couple of hours, might just get some sleep tonight.
I've been on the bus since '73. Went to the Rainbow show, 1981, where they played Blues For Allah, oblivious to the fact that they were commemorating Sadat's assassination. Duh.
Always look forward to visiting this forum, mostly to lurk.

Hi Willco. I see you've been getting a bit of a pounding up there this week. I'm down in the South West so just freezing cold and light dustings.
So, Aussies in and one down in the first over - excellent. I'm mad about football, but I'm (Dead) serious about the Ashes. Best sporting contest in the world though no-one here believes me.
Nice to know there's a group of us on this side of the pond who take part in this Forum.

Hello Willco - you've probably woken to the score of Australia 245 all out!! Stuff the World Cup. I watched the Manchester derby the other week and that proved that the words "England" and "football"* do not go together.
*ok, "soccer" to most of you
